Man, we need G.J. in a big way now!!!

Not what I was exactly hoping to hear. But you know what? We are going to be A-OK. I'm still not quite sure what will happen, like everyone else. But we are going to be fine. Maybe this is the sure sign for GJ to bring his game to Richmond. The starting P/G job could be all him.

Yup. Our recruitment of G.J. just intensified a ton.

It would seem this development would make it much more appealing for G.J. too!

Oh yeah, G.J. will be the man from day one.

Who the heck wouldn't want to be a 4-year starter on a team that has gone NCAA 2 of the past 3 years, and 3 times since 04,' a team that is a 3-peat conf champion, and on a team with an NBA lottery pick candidate Big-Man, in Larry, The Landlord, Sanders. Throw in Duke, a highly regarded, energetic young coach, and equally exciting and energetic young staff, an A-D with the commitment to winning, a great fan-base, and a solid 30-year winning tradition. And why in the world would that not be appealing?

Let's get this done, and bring this young man to Richmond for some serious basketball !!! GJ.... if you are looking at any of this.... bring it on baby! We want you here. Bad.

Please come to VCU G.J.!!!

oops I think I just broke NCAA regulations by verbal expressing that I want G.J. to come here and thus possibly influencing his decision

This development could also have a negative impact on our ability to land Ty Armstrong.

Ty Armstrong is leaning toward Auburn at this point. From sources very close to Florida Air Academy.

This also doesn't completely mean that Eblen is gone. It just means that he is considering leaving. I am pretty sure that as long as he is contractually obligated to VCU through his LOI, other schools are not allowed to pay for him to come on official visits. However, if after going on official visits to other schools, he still prefers VCU, he could be in black and gold. He's now a recruit again, and if Smart thinks he's worth the effort, he'll still be recruiting him.

Can VCU grant a conditional release from his LOI that keeps him from looking at other CAA schools or Alabama?

Any chance that he still comes? Maybe he takes a look at some other options, takes another look at VCU, and still wants to come to VCU. Or is VCU out of the picture at this point?

VCU is still in the picture for Eblen, we're just going to have to recruit him all over again.
