Unbelievable electricity in the air this evening. I would be interested in someone's opinion who was watching it on line.

Even the west end was totally involved, they were actually leading cheers. Larry was leading cheers. The band was leading chants and cheers. The noise was earsplitting at times.

And as always the band was the organizing force. The glue that held this riotous mass together. The voice of the fans.

If anyone discounts the affect that the fans have on an outcome they did not witness this game in person.

My hat's off to the crowd this evening. This was big time.

Definitely up there on the short list. May be the best sustained energy for an entire game. Remember, the ODU games have a significant number of their fans in attendance. This game was 99.9% VCU fans.

I still think the second half of the Louisville game may be the loudest.

I'd say it was definitely the best crowd I've ever seen at the Stu. The energy was absolutely unbelievable throughout. We have had some good crowds too- Northeastern last year was good and ODU and Mason are always up there. But tonight, for games I have been to, was the best experience I have ever had at a VCU game.

Louisville game runs neck to neck with Oklahoma in terms of crowd involvement.

best in sc history...naw...the west side wouldn't even stand up for the free throws except for the awesome fans that spelled out "V-I-R-G-I-N-I-A C-O-M-M-O-N-W-E-A-L-T-H-!" One of the best was the UAB game 2 seasons ago when we played them at home for the first round of the NIT.

That was a great crowd....maybe the best I've ever heard.

Although the numbers weren't there, and the outcome wasn't...but crowd against Northeastern last year was pretty nuts.

 Awesome I didn't have to say it. I would put it up with UAB as well. Having a crazy crowd for NIT is impressed after all. The crowd didn't hold back tonight. This is a proud day in Ramnation for everyone.

Best crowd ever by far. The Wilmington game a few years ago with Mr. Doles was a great crowd but any crowd can be great coming back by 19 with 5 minutes to go or how much ever time was left.

yes they did
they even had you elitist, purist Eaststanders participating in both the dreaded Wave and Court Storming

Hey that was me!!!! Thanks, we are actually regulars from the east side. We just stood on that side to get the fans involved. It is a lot of hard work and frustration trying to get 20 people together. A lot of us were the guys who bang the glass above the east end. We did it on the west end and started rocking the place. I was the V and tried to run down and get the west end to stand up but they just wouldn't listen. I guess it's pretty hopeless. Rodney got them to stand up though. Does anyone have pics of our body painting line? I would like to see how it looked from across the stadium.
This is just awesome!

Honestly the best crowd I've ever seen in 4 seasons at VCU, and since I wasn't there in 1999, I can only imagine the crowd involvement when we faced Louisville, but still overall that craziest we've been by far in many years. I was up by the glass in the west end banging with the best of 'em, amazing day for Ram nation.

O and IbleedVCU I don't know how this would turn out but if you got the same amount of ppl you did and sat at the first row of the west end the entire game, the people sitting behind you would have to stand up to see, and the people behind them would have to stand up to see past them, etc.. Not sure if that would work, but may be worth trying, you just need the people to fill up the first row of two sections.

Love the painted VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH. That takes a lot of effort from the group. And it was on the West End of the Stu.

I was thinking about that and it may have worked. We were just worried that Virginia Commonwealth wouldn't be as visible on the floor or the first row. Oh well maybe another game we can sit over there on the front row. It would get people to stand up. I warn anyone who tries to do this. People are very unreliable. WE had a lot of people back out and lucky we found a couple of guys that volunteered to finish off "commonwealth" while we were standing in line. THANKS FOR THE PIC. That's awesome
