Huge class coming in with 6 players, which to me, looks like the most athletic group I've ever seen come into Rams basketball at one time.

I was wondering what have been the best classes.

Seems like this year's senior group has to be up there, with Larry going to the NBA, and Ed, Joey, and Brandon all capable of dropping 20+ on any given night.

BA and Jesse being in the same class!

This class, like the NBA Draft, is based on potential! Potentialy this could be the best class ever. If everyone stays, no one transfers, becomes ill, or disturbs the peace, then yeah this could be the best class ever.

Sure it does. A one-man class is still a class isn't it? His jersey is hanging from the rafters and he was our all-time scorer until last year.

Depending on what you use as the basis for making that determination? Is it based on how highly touted the players are in-coming or based on how the class performed after their ccollege careers ended?

Shifty Eyes is usually right on in his memory of Ram players and teams from the past, and this time is no exception. I regret that many of you passionate fans never saw Jesse Dark play. He was big and strong for a guard, much like JPR but faster. He could slash like Ed and was every bit as good a defender as Shu. An incredible athlete. Bernard "Super 'Nard" Harris was a willowy 6' 10" center who was deceptively strong, could bang inside or step out and hit long range jumpers with a beautiful arc. They made a great team but also had an excellent supporting cast.

That said, I would think that the class of Messers. Lamb, Duncan and Schlegel would be a close second if not even better

I've been following the Rams since mid-70's and can't remember a group that was as collectively tall and, at least on paper, deep and talented. Potentially, one of the best front courts, counting backups, we've ever had.

No doubt this new class has the potential to be the best ever, but we need to wait 4 or 5 for the final answer.

And don't forget Jesse's smile, the only player with as smile as close to his while playing was Jamal Shular. He lit up the court - just a joy to watch.
