If the Big Ten goes to 16 teams I am wondering what will happen to the CAA. It is reported by ESPN that some Big East and ACC teams will join. That can have a major effect on our basketball.

unless we are one of the teams included - this don't need to be here

I think he brought it up because the shake up will trickle down to the smaller conferences which could affect us

The original rumor had Notre Dame, Nebraska, Missouri and Rutgers. I dont see any trickle down there what so ever.

To me this is a basketball topic because this will change things for our basketball program. In the future we can be playing against teams like Villanova or teams like UNCW. Get my point?

I don't know where ESPN is getting their info. The rumor was declared false by the BIg Ten on Monday and they don't meet until next week.

Just pointing out there's already an existing thread on it. Until there is some concrete evidence that VCU is being affected in anyway, it's not VCU news. Without football we'll never be invited to one of those BCS conferences anyway, and it's pretty unlikely even if we did have it.
