Bones Hyland - NBA Thread

Having Ant speak up for him, playing sick, performing when they call his number, and even improving his D. Bones has done a lot to ensure his future in the NBA.
yeah, Bones has always been an NBA player offensively. It was his D and slight build that concerned me a bit. Both have improved and I think he has a good career ahead of him. Looking at him this year, compared to VCU years it's apparent he's been doing the work to get bigger and stronger.
I've always loved watching bones because he so obviously enjoys playing the game. For some guys it's just all business (they make a boat load of money, why not), but Bones still looks like he's on the play ground having fun! That's refreshing.

I love watching Bones because he remembers that sports are entertainment. He has so much fun, he plays with a creative energy, and he loves to get the crowd involved. Such a fun player. A real disappointment that we A. only got him one year B. that was the COVID year.

I'm proud of him for this year. Even if he can't stick the NBA (who can!) he's made it a few years and even overcame a real mess with the Nuggets fallout. I really enjoy watching and rooting for ANT so he ended up in one of the coolest spots in the NBA from my point of view

What’s sad is Bones has fewer $ options than all these college players. He’s under contract and has to perform. How sad is that!

14 min.-12 pts.-getting to be routine
I really don't know the reason for taking him out of the game when they do it. Most times its while he's actually in the midst of scoring points. It's not foul related, it's not turnover related as he's not turning the ball over. He's actively assisting and getting the ball down the court unlike other players. His defense has been on point- it's not (at least noticeably so) performance related. He doesn't look tired. It's as if there's a necessity to rotate minutes and they limit him intentionally, obligated to dole out minutes to others.

He has become the designated spark plug. Nice to have that shot blocker behind you.

Fun Wolves game tonight on NBATV- Bones makes Ant a better player while he's out there with him.

Got the COVID booster and the flu vaccine in October. Was feeling crummy the week before Christmas and tested positive for flu, no temp, a bit of congestion and felt like someone beat me with a stick. That lasted about a week and I’m still low energy. Good news: it would have been lots worse without the flu shot. So, my advice is get the shot. Just about every pharmacy can give it.
