Bracketology

Well, if the best "Bracketologist" there is says we have a shot, then who am I to disagree?

Go Rams!!

Wow, Listed in the play in game. Getting the respect is awesome. I just can't and won't allow myself to be let down on Sunday.

yesssssh, I'm already prepared to be disappointed. This kinda crap they are pulling is like sports betting. They want action from both sides, BCS and the "little conference" for media attention so they can get web hits and sports talk banter. The reality is they just want to get paid. On selection Sunday it will be all about the BCS cash.

I have absolutely zero expectation that we will get an at large. If we do by the grace of god, it would have to be a 65-68 spot id imagine.

Not getting my hopes up. Don't really think we deserve to be an NCAA Tournament team anyways.

I am having a ball reading the UR board about the possibility of us getting into the dance. Reference to VCU fans as booger eating. Some of the quotes about us being considered are "makes me physically ill, disgusted, makes me want to puke and vomit." They have rest of the week to sweat it out.

There's a groundswell of support!

Seriously, it would be so like the NCAA to snub us from the NIT last year when we thought we were a lock and then to invite us to the dance when we think we have no chance.

I still don't buy it, but I will say if they are impressed with a good comeback story and a scrappy team AND they watched our game on TV that we might get consideration when the "sniff test" comes around. That was a heck of an effort to beat Drexel and GMU (ranked) and come back on ODU and take them to the wire. Aside, from winning the CAA tourney we did about all we can do to impress a committee.

We dont deserve to be there/ Wait until you see the bunch that has been picked-What will you think when they pick 5 ACC teams including clemson and va tech-added teams only meant more BCS teams-!! from the big east-look at the road record of Kentucky and Missouri!

I am afraid that we are being teased for a big let down. I do not see it.

Here's are a few clues:

One of the best attended non-power 6 conference tournments (obviously a lot of interested fans).

One of the top 60 media (Richmond) markets (could create some casual fan interest).

So they will talk about VCU up until the end because that keeps people tuned in. People tuned in means revenue.
