I was very impressed with George Mason's Michael Morrison in the CAA tournament. Didn't get much time on the court but he reminds me a bit of Sanders.

Pretty inconsistent, but he put up 13 points in 15 minutes against UNCW, and 15 points in 12 minutes against Brown this past season as a freshman. I think he'll put up some serious numbers with Monroe graduating.

If I had to start a team with one soph in our league he'd be somewhere around the top of my list

Yup Morrison will be good. He's very athletic for his size and runs the floor well. He's a lefty, but he has no right hand at all. He goes to his left 100% of the time. He needs to work on his off-hand to improve. I do think he'll be an All-CAA player for the Patriots. He's got a nice offensive game. He's also a piss-poor free-throw shooter (most big men are), and he'll need to improve on that if he wants to keep defenses honest. I think you'll see a lot of teams employ a hack-a-Shaq strategy next year unless he shows he can consistently hit his free throws. I can see why people compare him to Larry Sanders. There are some similarities to their builds, but Morrison is further along offensively and Larry Sanders is in another world defensively. While Larry owned Morrison last year, Morrison has a bright future and should improve. They should have some battles over the next 2 seasons.

(P.S. This is a great thread) :)

hoping brandon rozell has the jamal shuler transformation as gavin ans he split time and baskets at the "2". It would be awesome to get 22-28 pts from the "2".

Well remember at this point in his career Shu wasn't overly effective. I think Brandon actually had better stats as a sophomore than Shu did. Shu stepped into the 6th man role his junior year and averaged around 8-9 point per game I believe. I think Brandon will have a similar role and we should hope he's as effective as Shu was his junior year. Shu obviously became a beast his senior year. The big difference between their games right now is that Shu was much more of a lockdown defender than B-Rozz has been to this point.

you may have noticed when an opponent would give B ROZ a pump fake he'd go flying out of his shoes. I know that was something grant worked with him on, you play defense with your feet, then your arms.

Burgess impressed me a lot as a freshman. When you needed him to make the points, he made them. When you relied on him to make the three, he made the three.

I really like Chaisson Allen and Speights from NE.

Cam Long is gonna blow up at GMU.

Ben Louis- JMU

Joe Dukes- GSU

Tony Franklin- TU (they really were impressive in this yr's CAA Tourney)

Darius Theus- VCU, i think we may have a good one on our hands

Ben Finney- ODU (he struggled this year, but he plays with a lot of energy)

Johnny? Wolf- UNCW

Charles Jenkins- Hofstra (he will only continue to get better)

#3 for Delaware- don't remember the name

IDK- W&M

I think Nixon could be a break out player this year as type of defense we will be playing gives him the opportunity to score more in transitions. If we are good at it as a team, he could easily score 10-12 ppg.

I could see Chase breaking out.If how he ended the year is an indication of how he's going to play I think NU will be fine(16 vs. Wyoming, and 26 vs. UTEP) Eugene Graduated and leaves a good sized hole at the 3. Other then Chase I'd watch for Alwayne Bigby kid is given everything I've heard about him he could play right away in Coen's system.

I like Chase to break out too. He has all the intangibles in a great guard except for outside shooting. He started to improve on that down the stretch. If he can be consistent out there, CAA teams will have much more than Matt Janning to worry about.

I know he's been a role player the past few years, but I was impressed by Baptiste Batille, will he move into the startling lineup this year. You think teams will be focused on janning, adako and allen that he may get a good opportunity to break out.

I dunno Ramathon - - Nixon's highest scoring game in 2 years is 11 points. I can't see him averaging next season more than his single game record to date. I'd be happy if Nixon averages 6-7 ppg next season. If he averages double figures and the PG thing is even satisfactory we could be darn near unstoppable as you have to figure that Sanders, Skeen, Burgess and Gavin will get theirs as well.
