This just in, first leaked by Sometimes, confirmed from multiple sources.

Joey Rodriguez is returning as a VCU Ram next year!

Wow, here's to hoping he sticks with this decision. Hopefull he'll learn his role quickly, which right now to me seems like taking the open three when necessary, but mostly passing off to Sanders, Daniels and Burgess.

If true, welcome back Joey! I must say, I'd rather have Joey back than most of the possible replacements that have been mentioned over the past couple of days. In my opinion, this is probably the best scenario for VCU (and for Joey) next year. So long as everyone stays, looks like we're going to have a very deep, experienced and athletic team next year. I like our chances in the CAA.

This information is correct. Joey will be back for VCU next season. The Athletic Department is only waiting to hear back from the NCAA to ensure that his recommitment isn't a problem. I know these rules fairly well, and I would expect it to be officially anounced before the weekend.

You don't have to worry about Joey changing his mind again. He has learned a lot over the last month. He'll be a Ram for the next two years.

Sounds like good news to me....I would say welcome back, but he never left 8-) kind of

I'm torn. On one hand he plays hard and has experience. On the other, he was going to leave. The fans, the school, his teammates...

The most important word here is "was." He didn't actually do any of the things you mention.

Amen, brother. Glad to have you back, Joey! He and Ed set the tone for our defense.

This makes me so happy, I'm almost giddy. Joey will give us two great intangibles, leadership and energy. I see him playing an integral role in Coach Smart's scheme of things.
