BREAKING NEWS: Manny Ramirez suspended 50 games

MLB is going down the crapper right now. Pujols seems to be the only clean guy in the game. Watch him get booked up now that I say that. This is ridiculous.

It's a shame Jr. Griffey couldn't stay healthy... The numbers he was putting up next to these guys, heck...he was right there with Sosa and Big Mac in '98.

MLB Needs the Cubs in the World Series STAT.

Griffey Jr. could have been one of the greatest players of all time if he was able to stay healthy. He was absolutely disgusting with the Mariners back in the day.
 
If the steroid era has done anything...it's certainly held up a mirror to the GREATNESS that is Junior. His career stats in his heyday were, as DB put it, disgusting. The track of his career however follows the trend of how it used to be. Guys get old (usually legs first) and wind down the string until they're kinda used up while still showing flahes of greatness. Griffey is that kind of player. His injuries were not synonomous with injuries suffered by users, and I think it is a testament to his upbringing and respect for the great game of baseball.


Still wish I had his 89 Upper Deck rookie card though :D
 
Manny, thank you for making A-Rod look like a classy ball player. At least he came clean about it. Suspend these guys for life if they are caught currently with roids and I bet less players start using.... probably not though.

He needs to find the same Doctor Grant Hill uses with the suns. Hill was the same way, went down to Phoenix and is balling out of control lol
 
Grant Hill is nastier than a venereal disease. That cat can ball. He goes hard on the court.
 
Manny has tested negative 15 times in the last 5 years. Im anxious to see what drug he got a 50 game suspension for but I just want everyone to realize that he wasn't juicing.

....which is funny because seeing as how ortiz and varitek have gone from being very good ballplayers to complete bums in a matter of a season or two, pedroia and ellsbury wouldn't have to look far to get a little of the ol' magic juice. not sayin'. just sayin'.

as for manny, nobody should be surprised one iota by this. it's been widely speculated for quite a while now that his name appeared on the 2003 unreleased "secret" list of those who tested positive, along with a-rod, etc.

am i the only one that finds it interesting that there were ZERO star players from boston's 2004 or 2007 world series teams mentioned in george mitchell's report? (might i remind you that mitchell is a director in boston's front office).....but the very next season after boston's best player during those years skips town, he is stone cold busted.
 
The MLB is just one big steroids fest. Any big player probally takes steroids or once has. I have never liked the MLB and it's continuing to grow as one of least favorite sports.
