Virginia Commonwealth [18-5 (10-1), RPI: 54, SOS: 200] The only time many of you saw the Rams play was in the NIT Season Tip-Off at Madison Square Garden, where they played toe-to-toe with Tennessee in a five-point loss and then beat UCLA 89-85 two days later. It was a nice two-game showing, but VCU missed opportunities on the road against fellow bubble residents Richmond and UAB, dropped a game to lowly South Florida and suffered a ghastly loss in conference to RPI 223 Georgia State. Nevertheless, this is a team with a 10-1 record in a solid conference and that can't be ignored.

doesn't everyone suffer bad losses..didn't duke get embarrassed by the red storm this weekend...that's why this bubble stuff never makes sense to me.

This and the link is already being discussed in the "Bracketology Thread".

I wouldn't call a Loss to the Red Storm a bad loss. Lavin is coachin his kids up. However, the way Duke got pwned is embarrassing.

But Duke has a strong schedule, good wins, and low RPI. Losing a game they shouldn't doesn't matter except in determining if they are a 1 or 2 seed. They are not on the bubble, like us (although I am not yet buying that we are on the bubble either...still much work to do).
