Lets be serious, GMU is a small threat and ODU is the only legitimate threat to our Havoc 2.0 plan. Let's take care of business and take advantage of the fact that the CAA is a lot weaker than last year. No more losses in the CAA Semi's, ya hear me Shaka?! :)

P.S.: start Brandenburg :!:

There are probably 4, maybe 5 serious threats to winning the tourney - - GMU, ODU, JMU, Drexel and VCU. Any team in the CAA can beat us. We will lose some we shouldn't in CAA play.

Gotta say, JMU is going to be TOUGH...currently the first CAA team to 10 wins (10-3), three less wins than they had all of last year. The Duke Center or whatever they call is is a nightmare to play in when they have a decent team. JMU should be the favorite in their next 5 games as well, so a 15-3 start is definitely possible (4 of those games are in Harrisonburg).

Gotta get a win tomorrow before a big one against Drexel on Wednesday. Go Rams.

Sorry, but the CAA is looking a lot more competitive than it did last season. While this makes for a tough season for VCU, if we can win a lot of games it will be a good thing in the long run. I'd love to see some at large bids for CAA teams in the near future and look forward to the CAA becoming a perennially competitive division.

I would tend to agree with that. That gives us 4 opponents that could win the whole darn thing. Then you have Hofstra who has arguably the best player in the conference, Ga State who is tough down in Atlanta, NU who run a complex system and tend to peak during the first half of conference play (oh and we haven't beaten since 2008). Even one of the gimmes (W&M) played us down to the final min at home and another (UD) is the only non ranked team to beat ODU this season. I am not saying we can't get it done, but there aren't a lot of easy wins to be had in the CAA this season. Hopefully we will be ready for it. This is just my opinion of course.

Anyone of the 12 teams in the CAA can beat any other CAA team, maybe not every night, but on any given night. This is the danger of being in a one-bid league that plays a single elimination tournament.

My top 6 heading into CAA play as of this second:

1. ODU
2. GMU
3. JMU
4. VCU
5. DREXEL
6. W&M

Why W&M and not Delaware? Just curious, I am not sold on the Hens either at this point, but they have made some noise early on....

W&M?
didnt they just lose to Longwood?
Just because they almost beat us doesn’t make them good....unfortunately

W&M is very young and therefore very inconsistant. This should be forebearance for those posters that want our freshmen getting 38+ mins per game

CAA looks tough, a 12 point dog in Hofstra, goes in and upsets Drexel at the DAC. Lots of close games tonight.

For what it's worth....9 of the 12 CAA teams are at .500 or better after OOC and 2 conference games.

Can't recall the last time that happened
