To be small time football the CAA football conference gets more pub and is higher regarded than the CAA basketball conference

no way. caa basketball is division 1, plain and simple. football is division 1 minor leagues. defend it all you guys want, but that's the truth.

at least one caa basketball school gets a chance to compete for the ncaa national championship in the biggest tourney on the biggest stage every year. fcs? well, they play for something else.

one would have to be on crack to hold fcs football in a higher regard than div. 1 caa basketball. that's just crazy talk.

ask any sports fan around the country to name u of r's greatest sports moment of the last 5 years, then name vcu's greatest moment in that time period. i'd bet anything that the vast majority would recall maynor's shot over u of r's fcs championship....and that tells you all you need to know.

I was rooting for JMU to beat UMD...so close. I went to a local bar here in arlington (Bailey's) and there must have been over 100 JMU fans watching the game there.

Impressive for D1-AA

Haha sorry the CAA is no SEC...not now not ever, in any way you want to put it.

Yall can root against Maryland saturday when the Blue Raiders defeat them again!

Depends on when you ask them, in September most sports fans don't give a rats ass about basketball at any level. FB is king at all levels Pro, college, and high school.
