I am happy as can be. We won the CBIT. Shaka looked great through out the tourney. He out coached a few big named guys along the way. The team finally came together and won on the road.

They had a come back win and made plays down the stretch in a hostile environment. Brandon Rozzell finally broke out on the road. Jamie showed why he is a great player. Joey was Joey. Larry played inspired ball. Santil manned up tonight. Daniels got needed playing time.

This was a great tourney. We all owe Norwood. He made the right decision. This was worth it.

I am happy to see us do what we were able to do all season.

Again lets all enjoy this and look forward to next season!

And please no need to grade the coach, compare this to anything or spew hate in any direction. Let's all come together with this and enjoy this victory.

Go Rams!

Gutsy win by our guys.

Sorry to see Larry not have a big game for what may be his last as a Ram, but on the bright side - we can win a road game against decent (not great, but decent) opponent without a big game by Larry, who likely won't be in the mix next season.

Being in MSG this week certainly would have been better, but I'll gladly take this win with pride.

(and yes, I can't wait for next season already!!!) ;)

We played good ball. We played a couple of other top 100 (rpi) ranked teams and beat them. Plus we started this thing on the road and ended it on the road to win the tourney.

And we came from behind and hung tough to take the win tonight.

Larry might not have had a big game, but his high/low lob pass to Skeen (over the defender) was nice - - and it was the deciding possession in the game...put us up 4 with not much time left.

I feel the torch was passed tonight. I believe Sanders is indeed gonna go to the NBA. Skeen has taken the torch. His physical play and clutch shot was a HUGE factor in this game. Also I guess someone took my advice and told Roz he was at Siegel and that VCU fans decided to do a blue out tonight. Jrod definitely deserved that MVP. Hopefully he gets the CAA tourney one next year. :D

I believe it was Boomshakalaka who called VCU Virginia Championship University after the tourney last year. Well its Still Virginia Championship University ;)

Fun game to watch and this is just a gratitious post for me to hit 500 posts...LOL

a big WTG to the coaching staff, and the athletic dept
(plus Mike & Robby, the band, the cheerleaders, and the dance team)

but a HUGE WTG to the team...
you won... a lot more than you lost.. but you also faced some adversity, and things may not have developed the way you may have wanted... but you rolled with it, took what life handed you, and owned it! You guys did some good good work, and as a fan and an alum, I'm very proud of what you guys have done. To those of you moving on, thank you for playing in our name, and the best of luck in your futures. To those of you coming back, see you next season... can't wait! Go Rams!!

p.s. a million thanks to the guys running this place, it's a great online place to be a fan... and also thanks to all you fans (even the ones I might disagree with sometimes) for adding to the rich texture of RamNation

Wow, this is like a big group hug...

And Major when you post your 501st you go from a sixth man to a starter! Wooo! Wooo!

As one of the Shaka Smart naysayers, I say "Well done Shaka! Congrats!"

The crow tastes good tonight in Eugene.

Anthony Grant never won a postseason tourney!

LOVE the fact that we won on the road with a strong second half to clinch the thing. Shaka has really come a long way since Bethune Cookman. Would have liked to have seen TJ or KP get in, but they both had great careers with some notable achievments. The CBI experience was really for 10-11, and that's OK by me.

This will help us get to the Bigger Dance next year, I mean...we have to be a top 96 team next year, right
