Didn't see where his name has been posted previously:

Chris Martin ’11, St. John’s Prep (NY), Westchester Hawks: Seton Hall, DePaul, South Florida, George Mason, Virginia Commonwealth, Fairfield, Tennessee, Clemson, North Carolina State, James Madison, Iona, and others

Offers: George Mason, Virginia Commonwealth, Fairfield, James Madison, and Iona

Favorites: Seton Hall, DePaul, Virginia Commonwealth, and Iona are his top four in order

Note- “I think DePaul and Seton Hall are close to offering. They seem real interested,” Martin said.

Chris Martin's team got blown out the first time I watched them, but not because of him. The 6'0 point guard looked like a mid-major player at the very least. He is strong and gets to the cup, also using his solid athletic ability. Martin did not shoot the ball all that much, but he did demonstrate a nice ability to handle the rock.

ODU has expressed interest in Chris as well. He's a good point guard, albeit a bit undersized.

First I've seen of Andrew Nicholas potential interest...Scouts doesn't show a VCU offer but does presently show 4 significant [program] offers inlcuding Penn State, which shows his "high interest". Nice to see our name listed for this 3-star 6' 6" 195 lb. SF.

Regarding Tyquan Goad, first I've hear of him as well. Scouts doesn't show a VCU offer, but there are apparently a lot of strong programs following this 6' 6" 175 lb. upcoming H.S. junior from West Virginia. Here's what Scouts had to say:

Athletic, springy player with an explosive first step and great hops to the basket. Slender build that will need to develop, but as a sophomore has plenty of time to grow. Played his freshman season at Capital (W. Va.) High School.

so why are we going after another point guard since we have theus and weber coming in next year ? We dont need 3 point guards. brandenburg can also play the point if needed. I see Rob and Troy getting the bulk of the minutes at the two guard the next two years..i think reco can also play the two guard.

to me this looks as if either weber is not coming or theus is not coming back. We dont need 3 point guards ! We need a big guy that can rebound !!

Or they are not sold on Theus being a competent, full time point guard. Plus I don't think Weber is a true point. Remember, we were going to sign Henry who is a point guard until that fell apart. So I think getting another point guard has always been in the game plan.

Is Webber a true point guard? Theus will be a junior next year so that would be a good time to bring in a freshman. Let's a kid get used to the game his first year and then share time in his sophomore year. That is basically how it has worked for Theus as well as Joey. So, unless we have a true PG coming in now, I think we need to get one.

When we had Henry coming in everyone said that he was a true point and Webber was a combo but mostly a 2 guard. Of course he should be able to learn how to play the point in two years before Theus is gone, but who knows.
