This was a really good listen. The women's director of basketball operations and then John J Swartz, the man with square feet was actually considered the very 1st Ram as head of student government and then began VCU radio and coaches show starting in 1974. It's a great listen,

Yeah, it is a bummer that they never posted the players. I heard that the comments from Russell in regards to VCU were heartfelt.

I can't see why Odom would leave for UVA or Nova. At some point, one of these coaches are gonna realize the VCU gig is a lot more than a stepping stone and I think it'll be Odom.

1.Money
2. Ambition
3. P4/P5 will eventually control college basketball like they do in Football IMO
4. Access to a bigger bucket of NIL money in the new Wild Wild West called college basketball

Just the four reasons I see for any mid major coach to take a bigger job

and yes, I would love to see Odom stay here for the rest of his career (I think he was careful to not say that like MR did when first introduced as new head coach at VCU and did so purposefully)

As long as we remain a mid-major, we are likely to always be a stepping stone. We have been that way since the beginning in the 70's. A year ago there were a lot here that said they didn't care if coaches moved on from VCU as long as they win when they are here......that we will go out and get another winner (which is what really worries me the most).
But Dayton has had Grant for a number of years and it looks like he is going to stay.....of course he is alumni.
