CollegeHoopsNet.com: VCU #83

Fair well detailed writeup..no way that starting lineup happens though

That's probably about right from an unbiased perspective given all the questions on our roster and the new coach. Eric leaving is a pretty big void to fill and we still don't know if Larry can stay on the floor without getting into foul trouble, especially now that he's the focal point of the offense.

Key Losses....Lance Kearse. Haha too funny. Sorry but I'm glad that drama is over. Will we miss his athleticism and skill? Absolutely!

But the juice wasn't worth the squeeze.

"Eric Maynor has moved on to the NBA, but junior Larry Sanders might be the best pro prospect in the mid-majors."

The hype continues, and no doubt from me LS1 will live up to it...

I think we will go to the Big Dance, but I dont expect CollegeHoopsNet to. So 83 is cool.

LS1... I like it. Model number for the 5.7L Chevrolet V8 used in most Corvettes and various other GM performance vehicles. It's most potent iteration touted over 400 horsepower straight from the factory.

I'm glad you got my comparison to the all-powerful beast that is the LS1. Hopefully we will get the powerful beast that blessed us at the 2009 CAA championship game on a consistent basis. And with Grayson supposedly as quick as any Corvette out there, we should be set on the inside drive as well. Throw in Gavin and Burgess for the 3 and we should have ouselves another regular season championship!

Not possible, it was done in under 1200 words.

however, on that note, i'm going to go play in traffic now.

so CHN picked the CAA like so last season...

1st - #48
2nd - #69
3rd - #83
4th - #102

and this year they've gone with

1st - #50
2nd - ?
3rd - #83
4th - #102

hmm, methinks they've slotted the CAA into pigeonholes... going by season-end RPIs, they were just about right on their 1st and 3rd picks (us in the upper 50s, ODU in the upper 80s), but otherwise they gave the rest of the league lower spots than they ended up in... plus they got the order mixed, going 2-10

artram, fwiw i don't think the odu #50 ranking was from chn, but rather some dude on their website giving his opinion.

yeah, they've done the same kind of thing in past seasons too... if memory serves there've ended up being some differences between the 2 lists, but generally there's a lot of correlation
