Congratulations Shaka on your 10th Career Win. Great it only took you 14 but it is an outstanding start and we look forward to watching you get your 20th and 50th and so on. I think it will be pretty soon. Now go get the 11th! :D

With the adversity we had during the last week, there were over 7,000 fans at the Siegel Center Saturday. Shows great support for a great team and a great coach. Thanks to all.

Does Smart have all that or is the jury still out? Let's not nominate him for sainthood yet? What about a good recruiter? X and O's? Flexibile and be willing to make changes? Consistent winner?

Well Mike, that is just my definition of a successful coach. I wasn't labeling anyone with those attributes other than J.D. The jury is still out on Shaka, but I am inclined to give him the benefit of doubt until proven otherwise.

Dr. Hunt was a great professor, but it took him a couple of years to get his mojo. It took me much longer.

one need not necessarily wait until another achieves full greatness and totally maturity in his role before offering him congratulations and encouragement for his progress toward that eventual goal

Yep, this was just a congratulations on picking up his 10th win out of 14 games. So far so good.

For Sale: Parachute. Only used once, never opened, small stain.

When he first got here Coach Smart said that he wanted to get more wins then any other coach in VCU history. Not jump off a building. Now he is 10 wins closer then he was when he said that!

Right. Case in point: Barack Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize.
