Like my username says, I'm a Hoo (current UVA student) on the Ram Bandwagon. Being from Richmond, I've followed VCU pretty much since the beginning of the Capel era (that was when I started going to the camps). I went to Capel and Grant's camps every single summer and absolutely had a blast. Getting to spend time with guys like Michael Doles, BA Walker, Jesse-Pellot Rosa, Mike Anderson, Jamal Shuler, Eric Maynor, Wil Fameni, etc. was awesome. I have some great memories of spending my summers at the Siegel Center. So obviously, I followed VCU pretty close during those years. Because of this, while still being a UVA fan first, I knew the reality that the best team in the state for many if not most years was most likely from the CAA. So I'm not as utterly shocked at this run as some of my fellow wahoos (not to mention the other guys down in Blacksburg). I've also known how freaking awesome VCU's fanbase. How many "midmajor" teams have a home crowd anywhere near the level of the Siegel Center's? Me and my high school choir sang the National Anthem before the OU game last year. Man that place was ready to explode. I always wonder what a fan base like VCU's would do with an arena like ours.
Anyways, as I'm realizing that there is no real purpose to this thread other than yet another show of excitement, I just wanted to say that the whole state and much of the country (minus the bitter Hokies) is on the bandwagon with me wanting the Rams to finish the deal. Maybe we'll finally get the cahones to play you soon. Until that day, I'll still be pulling for VCU. Go Rams and Hoos!
