Hey VCU fans, longtime no posts for me here. Just wanted to drop by to offer my congratulations. Your boys have made this tournament a joy to watch. Keep it going and take home the national title!

I didnt want to start a new thread but we have had a lot of congrats from other D1 schools. In no particular order:

Mason
ODU
UNCW
Wake
Ariz
Butler
UNI

who am I missing?

I was reading some of their boards to see how they're taking this right now...

vt is absolutely bitter and still mad at us. Very few are actually rooting for us and most say they'd hate it if we won it all. Said our road to here was easy and how they still don't want to play us because it's not worth it. They are so delusional over there it's hilarious, they need to stick to football.

uva seems to be much more receptive, probably because they had no chance of making the tournament. Most of them admit to being jealous but happy for us and are rooting for us to win. They're hoping their new coach can do similar things like Shaka and sound like they'd like to play us at some point.

It's great to be the envy of the state, heck most of the country right now :D
 
Look at UR's board and Eight Leggers posts. He has a vitrolic hatred for VCU. I think he needs to take his meds. Most are rooting for Butler.

well, to be fair, if they hadn't gotten abused by the Jayhawks, who we then abused, and somehow ended up where we're sitting now, I for one would certainly be rooting for Butler... some might feel the pull of purely geographic civic pride, but not everyone (makes me think of Marsellus Wallace's advice on pride)
 
But Mike, in all fairness eight legger seems to be the exception and not the rule. In fact a number of their posters have tried to gently temper him, although to no avail. Still the general mood over there seems to be one of support for the Rams. Don't worry, we'll go back to hating each other after the season is over. Same as our CAA brethren.

Someone should let VT fans know that it would look a lot better if they beat Wichita State in the NIT.... lol

I feel worse about Colorado not making it then VT, which is something I stated before. I believe Jerry Palm had Colorado in with us ;)
