For the week, he averaged 21 points, 6.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds. He averaged a 3.25 assist-to-turnover ratio for the week, only committing four turnovers on the week.

In the Rams’ seven games since Christmas, the 5-10 point guard is averaging 14.0 points and 6.0 assists per game. His assist-to-turnover ratio over that stretch is better than 3-to-1, and he’s shooting than 49 percent (35-of-73) from the field.

For the season, Rodriguez leads the CAA in assists per game with 5.6 and steals per game with 2.2. He also ranks second on the team with 10.9 points per game.

Well deserved. We'd be nowhere without him. He's as tough as nails and has skills.

Congratulations to Joey. This is certainly well deserved and does not surprise me in the least. I've stated before that I was very familiar with Joey's floor game while he was in high school and you could see he would make a fine PG at the next level. This would have come sooner had he not played out of position. What I like most about Joey is that he is smart and as tough as nails.

We need Joey to play at this level consistently and against the leagues top teams. There will be no more to prove after that. I for one have no doubts that Joey can and will do it!

Stay focused, Joey, stay focused. Bring home the bacon for the next two games. Make sure W&M and NU's eggs are scrambled. Then collect the second CAA Player of the Week!
 
you know Joey probably realized over Christmas break when he went back to FLA that he is no longer home sick because VCU and the city of Richmond are his home. Maybe we should just call Joey Shaka's Prodigal Son :lol:

Congrats J-Rod you are playing great and you are leading the team to some big wins. Keep it going.
