I doubt they'll need to put that on the wall. Everyone in that locker room knows that Darius James has been mediocre at best.

If anything, Joey was paying him a compliment.
 
I'm fine with Darius James taking more shots than Hassel, Bazemore and Finney trying to prove something.

He was their 2nd leading scorer yesterday with 16 points. Tied with Frank Hassell for most minutes played. On top of that, 7 for 9 shooting overall and 2 for 3 from three. 4 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals, 0 turnovers, and 0 fouls. If that's considered mediocre, I definitely don't want him to bring his "A" game tonight!

We're not talking about playing him next week though. We're talking about playing him the next day after a performance like that. He was "in the zone" and could very well still be tonight. I don't think it was a fluke that he didn't make All-CAA first team, but I also don't think he's as "lousy" as you are making him out to be.
