Darius James isn't Chris Fouch or Chase Allen, able to hit 3s with a hand six inches from their noses. If we don't completely ignore him, I don't think he will break the game.

James isn't that great, period. Even mediocre players have good games.

We're not talking about playing him next week though. We're talking about playing him the next day after a performance like that. He was "in the zone" and could very well still be tonight. I don't think it was a fluke that he didn't make All-CAA first team, but I also don't think he's as "lousy" as you are making him out to be.

He's serviceable how's that? Shoot Alexander Harper was serviceable. Bottom line is that most college basketball players, particularly starters, will have decent games at some point. James is not a great shooter, but he does a pretty good job running their offense. We have to worry about Hassell, Finney and Bazemore before James though.

if james plays like that tonight, we lose pure and simple. Even the monarch faithful know he isn't the greatest point guard. If they had a better point guard, odu would be a top 20 team. He is inconsistent and can stink it up as fast as he can light it up. Need to shut him down

I doubt they'll need to put that on the wall. Everyone in that locker room knows that Darius James has been mediocre at best.

If anything, Joey was paying him a compliment.

Does anyone have any proof that that tweet was directed to an ODU player. I searched the @ tweets after Joey posted it and couldn't find anything. No one has posted it, so why are you guys assuming it was James.
