Custom fathead - Eric Maynor

I know fathead isn't allowed to make fatheads of college players, but can I get an Eric one as soon as he is drafted, signs his contract or can I do it now since school is over. I want him in a VCU jersey by the way, to add to my soon to come VCU room.
 
The fathead would be sweeet. But the VCU "room" ...... Holy cow. Now that is awesome. My whole house is like a shrine to VCU. Things here... things there. But I love the idea of a VCU room. Sweet. I always said if I had one of those really cool basements... one area of it would be VCU City! I do have a 3rd level / rec area / media room type thing. Maybe that could be my VCU room. You've got me thinking.... :idea: ;)

I'll get some pictures on here when I'm done with the painting and I'll post updates and everything with stuff going on the wall. I'll have to frame the RTD article on VCU beating Dook, it has Eric's signature on it. Already got some great ideas for painting it. I'm probally going to the store to look at paint today or tomorrow. A little tight on money so I don't know when the fathead thing is going to happen, but I'd love one of them.

I love VCU and what better way to express it than a room that I'm in a lot. If you think about it, all rooms really have some type of base to it. It could have a flower border or just an old look, why not make it VCU.

That's understandable...I'd hate to have to get rid of my shag carpeted, mirrored ceilinged, black velvet-lined room with the rotating Salma Hayek shaped bed.
 
I want to be clear that I'm not judging anybody. I just don't get it. :D

I make fun of John for his cubicle at work, and that only has like three VCU related things in it. :lol:
 
I'm still holding out for the VCU bobblehead which will probably never happen :(
 
wait, does this mean that my custom black and gold velvet footed onesie with matching ram underoos isn't the norm?

From NCAA Bylaw 12.5.1.1 (h):
Items that include an individual student-athlete’s name, picture
or likeness (e.g., name on jersey, name or likeness on a bobble-head doll), other than informational items (e.g., media guide, schedule cards, institutional publications), may not be sold

yeah, I am totally that guy. :x

Taking over for Art I see? lol I know they can't do a player. But why not a Rodney the Ram doll or even one of a coach? Even though at the rate we are going we would need a new one every three years.

Whats the verdict on Past players?

Also it says may not be sold but what about a stadium giveaway?
 
darn, they even called out the bobble heads. Would they be able to give something like that away? A Maynor bobble head would have been worth the price of admission alone. I am sure it is just because of his tremendous knowledge of basketball, but the unique shape of his head would have made for a great bobble head. Just post that baby up on the desk at work, give him one good flick in Nov to start the season and he would still be bobbing come tourney time.
 
I just want to know if I can get an Eric fathead in a VCU jersey when he is drafted!! Is that still illegal? If not I'll have to settle for Rodney.
 
I'm more than glad to let 'mobile take the NCAA rules and such... the Copyright Act and the Lanham Act use up just about all of my statute-reading patience :shock:


as for once he's a pro... well the NCAA rules may not apply anymore (although I am not even sure about that, the school may have a duty to police that rule as it would to police its trademarks generally), but Eric's right of publicity probably does ...and VCU may well also have a say about it over trademark issues

so I wouldn't recommend doing it, and I certainly wouldn't recommend telling us that you're doing it ;)
