Landon forward Darion Atkins was a standout performer at the Super Showcase.

Darion Atkins listed offers from Wake Forest, Penn, VCU, George Mason, George Washington, Maryland, and Boston College. Also he is hearing from Georgetown, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, and Virginia Tech.

With the loss of Skeen after this year we will have an opening for top forward. After this year I believe it will only be Reddick and Veal. And I believe Veal will only have one year after next if I am correct. Haley would be our center.

His team was actually on ESPNU recently during their broadcast of the AAU super showcase. I think they played Thursday but I caught the tail end of a replay of one of his games this evening. Couldn't get much of a feel for his game but he's definitely "long."

Also during the ESPNU telecast they mentioned that VCU was recruiting his AAU teammate Juilian DeBose.
