ok so everyone has a name. B roz, E Nix, LS1. I think its time to give our future PG (not saying anything about when) a nick name maybe a clever line or too...I will start...

1. "Darius will carry us"
2. "Theus will lead us"

ok guys lets here some love for theus!

just "Theus" sounds pretty good... no need to TGIFriday everything up with flair

...but of course there is no I in team, but there is The Us

yeah yeah, I know

Uhhh... not to be Debbie Downer here, but the kid has played in 5 basketball games. Call me old school but I'd like to see a little more from him before anointing him with even as much as a nickname. This isn't to say he won't become a great Ram, which I hope he does, but lets see what he's made of first. BTW, Big Shot Brad is the coolest (and most fitting) of any Ram.

THIS

plus, nicknames usually have to evolve a bit more naturally in response to what happens, not by message board committee

let's see:

"Big shot" Brad
The Landlord
Broz
The Hammer (Is that a slight on him? As in the old "hammer and sickle" for cold war russia)
The Bagel
TJ - although that is technically not a real nickname since that is what he calls himself anyway.
If Gavin keeps it up he will become, "Sure shot" Jay

i agree that nick names tend to just happen and its not as good as trying to think of something cool and making it fit. The idea of a nick name is that it matches a personality type, character item, physical characteristic etc. We don't know enough about him yet...plus the best nick names come from the team....what they call each other since they know each other 100 times better than we will ever know them.

ever since he was recruited i was calling him darius pronounced da-ri-us, referring to darius the great, becasue the Persians are my favorite ancient empire...Darius was responsible for making Persia enormous and the greatest power in the world up to thier point in time, hopfully Theus can do the same for the Rams and the NCAA.

alright...we have debbie downers galore on ramnation! In my opinion though, Theus is our future. I do see him taking the job from Joey this year just because of the little freshman mistakes he still has occasionally. In the future though I think he's our man with, as others have noted, the maynor like cross over.

I don't see it yet. I really don't think he will take Joey's job. Joey worked extremely hard on his game over the summer and you can really see that evidence on the court. He is stronger with his ball-handling and makes good decisions most of the time he is on the floor. And you can't replace the experience, hustle and basketball IQ that he has on the floor. He just knows how to play the game.

that said, Theus will be a good PG and is a solid backup but he still needs some work as do most freshmen.

I say just keep his nickname simple for now. maybe just go with D.T.

That!

I'd say the Hammer is most fitting...I remember when he hit Ledsome with a Haymaker last year
