He kinda looks like Greg Oden's father.....maybe one of you uber-recruiting types can dig up more info. He's at Mountain State University Academy in WV.
 
wow the AARP called to make sure he was a signed up for a medicare supplement insurance plan.
 
Come on guys, he does look a little aged, but If we happen to be interested in him and he happens to read these boards we don't want him to dismiss us just because we can't get past his looks...

you are probably right, and if he came here I would glad cheer like a maniac for him, but he does have the greg oden syndrome oh looking older than he really is.
 
Nyarsuk attends The Academy at Mountain State in Beckley, W.Va.

I would guess there is some connection between that school and Mountain State University, also in Beckley.

Mountain State, a perennial NAIA power, used to be called Beckley College and was at one time a two-year school.

There is VCU/Mountain State connection: Former Ram Renardo Dixon (Jeff Capel recruit) transfered to Mtn. State and averaged 7.7 points per game for one season.

Remember when VCU fans thought GMU's George Evans looked old?
 
Under college standards, Evans was old like 28 or 29 when he graduated. He was built like a seasoned NBAer and beasted college kids and winning all sorts of CAA awards. However the strength and maturity he had didn't cut the pros as everyone was bigger, stronger, faster and younger than him. He continued his basketball career overseas.

Half Baked, how did you come across this guy? Just browsing or are we somehow linked to this guy? I'm guessing you were just looking for available Centers still out there.

But he looks strikingly like Mutombo's brother. Wonder if he waves his finger everytime he blocks a shot?
 
I actually found a mention of him at DrakeNation....I figured we could have a shot with him for a few reasons
1) VCU's melting pot campus. Unless a whole lot has changed since the early-mid 90's...there was always a strong presence of African students
2)Proximity...he may have heard of us over there in WV
3)He seems to be a mid-major kind of guy...much like Larry...who can play right away and improve more quickly instead of languishing on the bench. They can't all be Hasheem Thabeet.

I dug a little deeper and found mention of him at Ohio State boards where they also mention Bruce Pearl has been lookin' at him as well....so maybe not a sleeper anymore.

I saw some Ohio State boards talking about him as well.
 
The PE teacher at my school is a recent WVU grad who told me the students were out in a big way for David at their Midnight Madness (of which he attended).
