Demetrius Ward, Alex Wolf may miss VCU game

Sophomore guard Demetrius Ward sprained his left ankle in practice Monday night. It'll be a "game-time decision," Broncos coach Steve Hawkins said Tuesday, as to whether Ward is able to play Wednesday and provide any help against VCU's full-court press.

Reserve point guard Alex Wolf remains away from the team with what Hawkins described as a "really bad flu." Hawkins isn't sure if it's the H1N1 strain. Wolf did not travel with the team for last Sunday's game at Detroit.

That's big for us and the press. If they are down two ball-handlers, they'll tire that much more quickly. We need to hound David Kool and force other players to beat us.
