DePaul Fires Wainwright

In a related note, UNCW alumni storm the palace, throw the Chancellor out of the highest window, install SN08 as new Chancellor, who immediately fires the entire athletics administration, hiring Jerry W, aka Droopy Dog, to be his new AD. Jerry is now flying the Droopster (UNCW's Huey) all the way to Wright St. to speak with Brad Brownell about coming home.

Also, Brett Blizzard's mom has been brought in as a "special consultant" who will be in charge of improving the UNCW image.

Pav, I know you've been drinking the Kool Aid, but have you been eating the mushrooms too?

having just moved out here, and living just a few El stops away from depaul campus on north side, i was really looking forward to catching some big east games this season. come to find, they no longer play on campus, but play at an arena about a 30 minute drive north near des plaines. that's ridiculous. not only can students not make it up there (especially during these horrendous snowy rush hours), but a college b-ball fan like myself cannot either.

the interest in depaul basketball is nearly non-existent, and this news barely even got a write-up in the trib. being in such a large market with a plethora of high school talent to pick from, there is no excuse for depaul to lose every conference game, big east or not. bring the game back to campus, and push the excitement IN town, not out in the suburbs.

This guy's a college friend of mine. His observation is pretty much what you and many other in the city feel about DePaul BB.
