Did anyone see.....

OK, ramnation gods, not trying to start anything about coach Smart or Joey, but did anybody else notice Joey and Coach exchange words last night? Happened when Joey came out of the game and Joey went to the far end of the bench as he was sitting down said somthing to Smart. Smart's head snapped around, and I could tell Smart was not happy. Pretty much from what I could tell Smart told Joey, in so many words, to take a chill pill. All I could gather was Joey was not happy about being taken out the the game and he let Smart know about it.? I know, heat of the moment stuff, but it didn't look good to me.

I did see that, but I wouldn't read too much into it. If there was any thing to it I am sure they discussed it after the game or today at practice and sorted everything out. Coach said before that he needs to find a way to get Joey some rest down the stretch, maybe that is what is happening now. Even though he still played 32 min Joey usually only comes out of the game once or twice. Last night I think he came out 4 or 5 times. That will take a little getting used to. Joey is a competitor, I am sure he would play all 40 min if he could, but it is up to the coach to manage the game and make sure that everyone is still able to play at a high level in March.

What I saw was Joey pretty irritable the whole game. I noticed him agitated at his teammates a few times too. Didn't notice the exchange with coach Smart but don't pretend that its something out of the ordinary or anything worth creating a thread about.

Looks like Joey just wanted to win and will do anything to get a W. I think a little attitude is good, it shows character and heart.

I think Joey had a guest in town, perhaps he just wanted them to see him play.

Don't know if you saw it, but TJ got on coach Smart as well. It was right after he threw that crap pass to Larry down low, that went out of bounds. They said something to each other near the sideline and then TJ gave a whatever look and back away. He was quickly replaced by Skeen.
