from sources i cannot leak, as of 20 min ago DJ HALEY has committed to VCU

Just from his student athlete profile I'm already a fan of DJ. Real happy for Shaka and staff, and very happy to see RamNation was 1) aware of his visit, and 2) tried to make him feel at home.

Was waiting for Dave Telep's scout article to post this news.

FWIW, I have word that DJ measured out at 6'11 and 3/4 during his visit to VCU.

And congrats to ALL the fans who helped make him FEEL at home. I'm sure that the atmosphere in the building convinced him that VCU was the type of place he wanted to play at.

I think part of it too is Shaka being able to connect with DJ on an academic/ cerebral level, since it's something they appear to share.

Definitely awesome news! and props to fmrick for getting the chant idea going. I'm sure every little bit helped to make him feel that this was the right choice.
