Does Anthony Grant want to be the Crimson Tide's coach?

AG reminds me of Sidney Poiter (sp?) ...says little does alot....he is intense and really doenst care to share it....not the social butterfly that U of A may require...too bad....but then they dont really understand basketball imo

In other words, "hey look, we're Alabama, and we hired a minority coach!"

Why do you think Auburn is going after Tubby Smith?

Not the minority coaching angle but more along the lines that Grant never appeared to me to be comfortable schmoozing the benefactors...

Face it. Grant is not that sociable. It must be a very hard job head coaching a college basketball team. I know its not easy and that is why they get the big bucks. I could see Grant shmooze somebody that would give him a competitive advantage however.

Interesting that nothing was said in the column about Grant's recruits. For a new coach, that is terrible important. Take a look at what Coach Smart has done in recruiting.

This might be the best post in some time!

I loved this comment left by someone over there...

"At Bama it's either football season or it ain't."

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I can:

"At Bama it's either football season, or it isn't."

I remember Joey saying last year in an interview by RTD that with coach Grant it's like "he loves me, he loves me not." Joey said he never really knew how coach felt about him and the other players because he held his emotions in check.
