yeah have to give the props to hunt, jon jay and hunt beat the student by atleast 40 years in fandom, and jon jay used every resource possible to poll, beg, plead for votes

got to give it to hunt by being the classy quiet front runner in my opinion

I think they should have left the ultimate ram as 3 categories... the student, the alumnus, and the staff. Comparing them is silly.

As a VCU student from 82-86, and then again from 89-93, and having attended hundreds of Ram's games, there is only one true Ram Fan, hands down, and no arguing. Dr. Hunt.

My wife was sitting next to me and when they named the winner - we both just looked at each other in shock.

You are a true Ram Dr. Hunt - thank you for the strong support each and every year - and thanks for being a great professor!!!!! :D

I would agree as well, but in a way they did. They were all recognized during the game as dedicated fans. I am partial to ram4life even though I have never met him because of his posts on here, but there were no losers in this one. We have enough seats for 7,500 ultimate rams, if we get past that number then we can start voting people out.
 
Art: ha, I didn't care who won, I did vote for that guy though just because he is a friend and asked me to. The point is, a silly facebook popularity contest doesn't give much credibility to this whole Ultimate Ram ordeal. I don't really believe any one fan is far better than all 7,499 other fans on a given night. The 6th man advantage we as fans bring every game night is a collective effort. You sit the "Ultimate Ram" in there for a game and lock the rest of us out, see how that goes. Even Towson would have a better atmosphere. Popularity contests should be limited to the Homecoming Court.

I hear ya.... I wasn't so much taking a shot at your reasoning or motives, I was just taking a general cheap shot at you bewhiskered hippster kids, with your rocking roll music and dungaree trousers who are younger than,and have more fun than, me! now get off my lawn! ;)
