EDIT: Tim Welsh (former Providence HC) Hired at Hofstra

Per goodmanonfox, former Providence College coach Tim Welsh is the leading candidate to take over for Tom Pecora at Hofstra. Welsh is also a candidate for the Siena and Iona jobs in the MAAC as well.

according to ESPN it is now done that he is going to Hofstra. He is a good coach who had excellent success at Iona and was up and down and Providence. I think this is good for CAA as a whole.

Solid hire for Hofstra and also great for the conference if he were to mimic his past successes. I just hope UNCW can do the same thing and get a quality hire out of the mess they are in.

Good get for Hofstra I hope. I wish UNCW would get their freakin act together.

I hope they prove me wrong because we need all schools to step up but aint happening with Ed Conroy at UNCW.
