Blaine Taylor, Old Dominion:
ncb_a_taylor_200.jpg

Taylor led his Monarchs to a first-round win over Notre Dame in last season's NCAA tourney

The Monarchs won the Colonial last season and went to their third NCAA tournament in the past five seasons. ODU also has scheduled well, knocking off Georgetown in two of the past three meetings. The CAA has plenty of well-respected coaches like George Mason's Jim Larranaga, William & Mary's Tony Shaver, Drexel's Bruiser Flint, Northeastern's Bill Coen, Georgia State's Rod Barnes and an upstart in VCU's Shaka Smart. But Taylor continues to be in the thick of the conference race every season, regardless of personnel.

Not enough love??!! I read somewhere recently that Ron Jeremy had had sex with over 5000 women!

you are totally right, winning the caa last year, winning a game in the tourney, bringing back the best team in the caa for this coming year and having a shot at the best recruit any caa team has ever had is really all coming back to haunt us.....good call

Unless DFS is going to be a McDonald's All-American that's not true.

I also think it's hilarious that you care about ratings all of a sudden now that ODU is actually in with a highly-ranked player. When you were recruiting no-names you were saying how Blaine Taylor does more with less and how overrated rankings are.

Funny how perspective changes when you're actually recruiting those players.

God your slow.

I don't care about who is the number 121st recruit vs. Who is 157. That doesn't matter to me. But when we are talking about a top 20 recruit, then yeah, I'm interested.

And I definetly think dfs could end up being a mcdonalds all American.

Case in point, the best recruit any CAA school has ever signed is Kendrick Warren and it's not close.

IF DFS commits to ODU, and IF he becomes a McDonald's All-American than maybe your statement about him being the best ever to commit to a CAA school might hold water. Otherwise it's just more hyperbole and ball-busting from you. Par for the course I guess.

For a guest to this site, you sure seem to think you are at home on the Zone the way you post.

Love this quote over on monarchnation.com

"Seriously....what a joke.

Many on here (including myself) have said we can't make another trip to the big brown dump. I guess now we'll either have to renew our tetnus shots or skip the tourny for 3 years.

darn the CAA is dumb."

They may be dumb over in the CAA offices, but I'll bet everyone of them knows how to spell tetanus.
