ESPN VCU vs UT Preview

espn was showing the game info on a screen...4 pictures coach of ucla and a player from nova, a picture of pearl and oddly a pic of hobson by the vcu logo....they didnt even put joey's or shaka's pic up....this is a good sign

SEC commissioner Mike Slive said he considered suspending Pearl for the entire slate of SEC games as well as punishing his assistants, but that he took Pearl's admission into account.
"The fact that he owned up to what he had done, owned up to the underlying violations, I felt half of the conference season was an appropriate matter," Slive said.

back when i went to gmu long ago... friends and i would get drunk and take the gmu golf carts around campus and race them down hills and what not like they were atv's. we always took them back (and even plugged them back into the power source) and never caused anyone (besides maybe ourselves) harm. one kid decided to go alone one night and destroyed the golf carts. because of that we eventually all got in trouble. i was the only one (besides the kid who destroyed them) who admitted to actually being the driver, even though everyone drove at some point.

i admitted to the detective and school officials that i drove but never damaged a cart. i still got a semester suspension while those claiming they didn't drive got "academic probation" and nothing else. so i decided gmu wasn't worth my money and transferred to vcu.

moral of this long story is... thank god the school official who suspended me wasn't mike slive or i'd still be a gmu fan

go vcu!

oh... and the other moral... owning up to something doesn't make it less of a "crime." so FU mike slive.
