I don't know why, but tonight I am feelin' nostalgic for some of my favorite pairs of shoes I had as a kid. Remember back to school shopping when you would get a new pair of kicks for the school year?

Behold...my favorite shoes as a kid (in no particular order

Old School Airwalks with lace savers... These things looked sharp as heck, I'm not sure I've seen a sharper skate shoe since

OG Vision Street Wear... Another classic from my skating phase (when I was too little to actually skate, but obsessed with it regardless)

Nike Air Trainer Max 91..aka The "Bo Jackson". Had these on my first day of middle school with a Bo Jackson t-shirt...miss those shoes.

Nike Air Mowabb. A part of Nike's "ACG" line that came out in the early 90s (maybe late 80s?) And I as a young buck I couldn't resist the neoprene liner

Couldn't find the exact color combo, but I had this pair of OG Reebok Pump's (although mine had some hits of purple and navy blue in the tongue...I believe they were actually girls shoes but fit and looked darn sharp..

I also had two favorite pairs of Adidas that I couldn't find on the next. One of this white pair of basketball shoes that had these neoprene boots that you could change out for different colors, thus changing the color of some parts of your shoe. I had the green and red liners. I also had this pair of sandle/sneaker things from Adidas that I put the same liners in...very sharp.

As for shoes I wish I had owned...the OG Andre Agassis were at the top of my list...

The Question ( Allen Iversons first shoe) since we were from the same place everybody had these growing up great times. Along the same times when every other person on your street was his "cousin"

pf flyers, nice. didn't benny "the jet" rodriguez wear those when he outran the beast?

as for me, my first pair of basketball shoes were these:

i later found out that my father's recommendation of these "cool" sneakers was based off of fashion in 1965, not 1988. unfortunately i was a 9 year old who didn't know any different. btw, how these shoes could possibly provide any ankle support whatsoever is completely beyond me.

Haha, when I was 9, I rocked the chucks and short shorts straight out of Hoosiers. Thought I was awesome.

Then middle school came a few years later, boy did that suck.

When I was in high school "Chucks" were high style. I got a great deal on a pair of seconds from a discount department store in Columbus, Ohio. I didn't realize that Converse stamped "reject" in the soles of all their seconds. I was pretty embarassed when I saw the footprints I was leaving.

Also ..just to rep the only Jordan's I ever owned... Air Jordan 5

By the way...In my opinion...Jordan's after the Air Jordan 8 seem less "retro" to me. Something cray about those first 8 shoes...

Still wear these Retro II's that my dad got in 94 (he figured I'd "grow into them") sometimes.
