Got two loaded hot dogs on us finishing in forth and not playing on Friday, so I've spent a lot of time trying to figure how it happens. So here are my final projection:

ODU- 15-3
NU- 14-4
GMU- 13-5
VCU- 12-6
DU- 12-6
W&M 11-7

VCU can be no worse than .500 vs #1 ODU, and DU is 0.000 vs ODU. VCU wins the tie breaker.

VCU wins out and it would be a big help. That would push us to a tie for third, and we still get the 4th seed.

But how about this- It is still not impossible for us to finish in first. We have to win out, and a couple upset from the lower division teams, but it is possible! Now here is the quandary for us- For us to finish in 1st, NU and ODU have to lose more than they should to teams that are close to us in the standings. Like today, NU and W&M play in Williamsburg. So for us to shoot for 1st, we need NU to lose, but that keeps W&M at five losses, which hurts us. So do you shoot for the top or hope NU wins and moves W&M down a notch?

We just need to win.

Now GO BEAT JMU!

I vote we just don't lose any games, and then let the chips fall where they may.

Coulda just said that, but then people would get on your case for starting a new thread for something that has already been said so many times already.

Well if people want something to talk about, try this- VCU could win every game until ODU and go into that game with a win putting us in first, or a loss dropping us into a tie that would force us to the 5 seed.

I don't think I've ever seen a season where there were this many possibilities this late in the season. Guess that is what happens when one team dominates the conference for a few years. :)
