First Mid-Major Top 25 Poll is Out

The first Mid-Major Top 25 poll is out and VCU is ranked 14th. Other notable rankings are ODU - 4th; Wofford - 6th; GMU - 16th. Winthrop is not even listed in the "Others Receiving Votes" section.

Jim Larranaga and Buzz Peterson represent the CAA on the voting panel this year. Mike Gillian from Longwood chairs the panel.

Granted, I am biased, but I find it difficult to believe there are going to be 13 mids in front of us come December/January, ODU included

Nothing was ever given to VCU. This is the perfect position. Now the Rams go out and earn the title of best mid major. No one can then say VCU was just given the title of one of the top mid majors.

Personally I prefer if we are under the radar rather than in everyone's crosshairs. I still believe we can pull a Northern Iowa this year.
