For Funsies: Conference Reallignment/Creation

I will say this... that could really drive fandom among the smaller schools and make it exciting at the end of the season. And then maybe make the NCAA tournament like the Champions League? So you get some small schools with great seasons meeting the bigger schools in the top divisions... yes please.

You'd need one cohesive "tv deal" like the Premiership has

Domestic Broadcasting...each team gets (around) 40 million. Teams share a portion of International broadcasting around (72 million), some portion paid out of the Central Commercial Revenue fund...Merit payment (higher ranked teams get a little more than mid or lower)

Clubs also receive additional broadcasting revenue on an individual basis (Facility Fees) based on the number of times their games were televised in the UK. Last season, Arsenal were shown on television the most (31 times), which resulted in an additional $34.9 million of broadcast revenue. Burnley, on the other hand, were shown the fewest times (10) and received $12.1 million.

Of course, the EPL only has 20 teams, 24 for the Championship...don't know about L1/L2/and below

That would be a helluva project for someone to figure out....conference-less basketball with one over arching TV/Streaming entity.

Been suggesting this for years and still never thought it was a possibility.

More or less messy than the BSB/ Sky drama of 1992 with the formation of the Premier League and the waning of the Football League?

With money brings power. Both P4 teams and their P4 conferences now exude enormous power. You would have to take it our of their cold dead hands before they cede any power back. They would sooner just pack up their bags and leave the "Association/NCAA". They probably have enough power and money to Congress. Plus, I'm not sure how the state government themselves would feel about something like this

At least they don't have a stupid nickname. Can we ask them to be their inaugural road game?
