Former Recruits and Players

regardless of what Tevin does, that is a great statement

Agreed, really love how tight-knit our Ramily is. I see on social that Teddy O is still close with the '11 recruiting class -- really cool.

Anyone know if Shaka came back for Tre/Jared/Bri's graduation? Just curious. I remember Grant attending even after he left.

He didn't. He had a UT softball game to go to.

I thought the original offer was 16 million..I just looked and yes I guess if he is getting 3.5 m for 7 yrs that would be about right.

I originally thought it was for six years as well. Washington Post says the six years are guaranteed with the seventh year being optional.

since this is a former recruit thread.....does anyone know when TM was supposed to go to Austin?

I'm going to put out a guess and say he ends up at Texas. I wonder how he will fit into the lineup.

The 2011 class ended up being Graham/Weber/Guest/Teddy O

Wilson was pretty solid for UCF, I always wondered how he'd have done in Richmond

Henry had an even better career than Wilson. He is a stud athlete and would have fit in well with Havoc. It would have been a nightmare seeing him and Bri harass ball handlers.

Given, VCU's success relative to their respective teams, I wonder if either guy second guesses their decisions to go elsewhere?

Yea...the list seems long of late regarding guys who never became Rams who may have had regret. It's a question I doubt we'll ever get answers to.
Travis McKie (supposedly never even close to being a Ram)....no postseason EVER except for maybe a badminton tourney in Jeff Dddzzzzelllick's backyard.
Pierra Henry (former recruit)...1 NIT game
Kasey Wilson(former recruit)...1 NIT game
Jonathan Mandeldove (former recruit...almost, VCURN legend)...GREAT seats on the bench for an OT 1st round loss to SDSU, a Final 4 AAAAAaaaaand a 2nd round NIT loss to Va Tech.....wow, what a career...was asked to "take a break" from UConn 3 classes shy of his degree....nice
Victor Law (almost a Ram)...Terry Larrier-esque stats after this freshman year, probably will never sniff the Big Dance.
Jernard Jarreau (former recruit).....1 NIT game...up and down at Washington (injuries) JUST transferred to Tulane http://www.theneworleansadvocate.co...14-171/former-mcdonogh-35-basketball-standout

In defense of McKie and Law, they ARE at schools that are no academic slouches and DO seem to value their opportunity.

kind of a sad game to play :?
