Yes, that would be Reggie Cain, long-time high school and college official around the area and state.

Reggie's still got that same 32-inch waistline he had under Coach Noe in the early 70s.

For you newcomers, Reggie came to VCU along with Greg McDougald out of James Monroe High in New York City.

McDougald was far the more heavily rated prospect, but he transferred after one exceptional season.

Reggie played four full seasons with a redshirt between his junior and senior years.

His overall numbers as a Ram are impressive, but he may be remembered for two games in particular

As a freshman, the 6-2 guard's two perimeter jumpers in OT helped VCU beat Minnesota at The Frank.

In a road game at Norfolk State, Reggie's last split-second shot, off a missed shot by Jesse Dark, helped VCU win by one.

Reggie looks like he could still play, and likely does.

To the victors go the spoils. They earned it. He definitely has the rep to keep it going and I’m sure he will. Good for the area overall if we can raise the level of play, program by program.

I still like Mike Rhoades and I don’t blame him for leaving us to take a bagillion dollars to coach for his home state. But him leaving is one of the best things to happen to VCU. He can spot and develop high school talent but he is not a portal era coach.

Three minutes left in the 1st half is when they got their 1st assist. 8 turnovers & 7 made baskets in the 1st half. Hilarious 2nd half was pathetic as well and they lost by 41. Padding their OOC to be 8-1 going into that game is even more pathetic.

Not the vitriol of others for Mike but I’m SO glad he moved on so we could upgrade!
