VCU lost to NC State. Of course I’m glad it’s not a bad loss, but whether NC State has a NET rating of 20 or 35 or 45 won’t matter much to VCU. It’s still a loss on our resume.

Seems like we’re hearing more and more of this. Rutgers is way in the hole, I saw Florida state is spending way more than they’re taking in. How long can this go on?

I'm sure it's only going to get worse, and it'll probably result in a FBS/FCS-type split in Division 1 college basketball.

a q1 loss is much better than a q3 or 4 loss and probably better than a q4 win for that matter. Still it would definitel help the resume if it was a win.

tough night for slick willy. Miami scores 8 unanswered at the end to win by 1. NC state had 93% chance to win with 1 minute left. Will says his team is "soft" and jump shooting team. Blames himself... Obviously the Darrion Williams experiment (he was 1-5 from 3) hasn't worked out. Their #1 freshman recruit Matt Able looks like the real deal if he can keep him and build a tougher program next year.

Can't remember if we get a game against them next year. Hope so...
