Frank is not going to be on the team next year but will be staying at VCU to complete his degree. It is disappointing but Frank seems to be a great guy and student. I wish him well in his last year at VCU.

It would be interesting to know what this came down to...

skills?

or

injury?

Either way, glad he is finishing his degree. I assume he is still on schollie but maybe an academic one.

I think this is a win-win scenario - - Franck was going to get no PT with the inside guys we have now.

i think a lot of people saw this coming. best of luck Franck and I hope to see you at some games this season.

I thought that he had already finished his degree? I was thinking that if it was him that was leaving that it was because he already graduated and wanted to get a job to help support his family in the states. While he might not have played a lot of mins I think he would have found his nitch on the team next year and made himself valuable. Best of luck to him either way.

Franck has completed his bachelor degree but will remain at VCU for graduate school. He will not he playing for us next year, and this is where the speculated extra scholarship is coming from. Expect this to be officially anounced before the weekend.

as stated above, it's Franck

and as also stated above, he graduated this past weekend, as did Eric and TJ

godspeed and good luck to you Mr. Ndongo

My understanding is that while Franck was allowed to walk, he still has 1 or 2 more classes to complete for his undergrad degree. I hate to see him go, I had high hopes for his long arms in our pressure defense this year.

When there was talk about a player not returning I thought it might be Frank. The continued injuries may have had something to do with it I suspect...fighting for playing time with TJ, SKeen, Santil, etc. Kinda hard to get playing time when you haven't really played for the past 1 1/2 years because of injury. Or it could just be something else. Wish him all the best. Even with all the injuries, I'm glad he stayed with the team and continued on to get his degree. he has always been and upstanding person.

I agree John. I am really gonna miss him. Great kid and I can't wish him enough success in life. He always would come sit for a second and talk to me last season during warm-ups. I've said it before and I'll say it again...Ndongo For President!

Franck is doing fine physically. He told me that he was full strength and had no lingering effects from the surgery. This was probably 2 or 3 months ago.. this has nothing to do w/his physical well being at all...

Correct. Franck is fine to play. There are other issues at play.

Frank will always be part of the VCU family. What ever the reason life continues after basketball or any other sport.I wish him the best at whatever he does. I am happy to hear that another player is going to get his degree.VCU is a good shool to graduate from. 8-) 8-)

Other issues - like what? :?:

He got a free education. What did we get out of him other than the defensive effort against Duke? Is that enough? Just asking. Room, board, books, tuition.... What the total?
