1.5 days till we tip off again. Towson is up at halftime vs UNCW.
This would be a crushing blow to our high we are currently on so lets stick it to them.....

I see their rebounding rank is worse than ours so that is a relief.
Also saw they only have 7 players on the court - what's the story there?

It is a perfect trap game. This game vs Towson sandwiched in between an enormous win in Norfolk and a game Thursday against Hofstra, who share first place in the CAA with us.

I'm sure the upperclassmen and coaches will note this and we will go to Towson focused.

not to mention thursday game is on national tv

Towson making UNCW look like John Wooden's UCLA Bruins in the second half.

TU had a two on none breakaway that ended in a travel.

The announcer said, "God made big men and He made point guards and they're not the same."

They had their starting point guard Troy Franklin dismissed from the team for inappropriate behavior (assaulting a professor). One of their impact bigs Robert Nwanko is academically ineligible for the year as well. Those were two of Towson's most important players, I don't see Kennedy keeping his job past this season.

First post here. Long time VCU fan, been going to games for years. Amazing game tonight but as someone above said, this is the ULTIMATE trap game. Only one full day of rest makes it even more difficult. Hope the boys can keep their eyes on the prize and not too concerned about the upcoming tilt with the Pride.

They have the same short rest that we do. I don't think that will be a deciding factor in the outcome of the game.

I trust that our Seniors will remember games two years ago at UNCW and at Delaware - trap games we lost - and not make the same mistake overlooking the Tigers.

Sounds like if anything the short rest may affect them more, from what I'm reading it looks like Towson is pretty thin right now, going only 7 deep or so?

TU is playing a later starting game. Our game was over before theirs started. Plus they are playing at UNCW so they have less time to rest and prepare than we do. - No excuses.

They only really have one "impact" player in Braxton Dupree, a Maryland "exile" after finding himself in Gary Williams' infamous doghouse.

Hahaha, WOW. If the press doesn't work we can just create turnovers by giving them the ball and moving out of the way.

Isaiah "Tha Prophet" Philmore anyone?

Since the Rams left Norfolk and went directly to Baltimore after the game, we should be there before Towson! We may have already been at the Hotel before the UNCW-Towson game was over! Go Rams!

apparently Mike Rhodes' is getting some attention, at least from Towson fans (plural? really?), as Pat Kennedy's replacement after his contact runs out after this season... maybe we let Coach Smart get a head start on Hofstra film, and let Rhodes be tomorrow's game-coach, just to, ya know...
