2019 guard RJ Blakney impressed with his scoring and athletic ability on Friday at the Gonzaga Classic. A wiry guard, Blakney stands just 6-foot-3, but is equipped with a massive wingspan. To go with an impressive frame, Blakney is gifted athletically, as he’s a terrific leaper that reacts quickly to plays and gets off the ground with ease. Blakney has a scorer’s mentality, and will need to sure up his shot selection, but he’s aggressive with his drives, has the ability to make shots on the move and does a good job of creating space from defenders.
