since we have been talking about physical big men. My favorite Physical big man in VCU history in George Byrd. I couldn't find any youtube footage of "BIG BYRD". But he plays slam ball now...great game..

I found a short snippet and he explains his abilities. Many of you may not remember that he was actually recruits as Tight end out of florida by florida, floriday st and miami while at their football power zenith...

He could have played in the NFL....boy I wish tried to start a football team back then....

Byrd was a beast tight end in HighSchool. Big, good speed, and nice hands! And he was a Ram before VCU! Man if he could have made a free throw he would have been one of the best at VCU.
 
Love George Byrd. Was on the 96 team when I first became a VCU basketball fan. Quite a load in the paint was Goerge, fun to watch. Loved watching him battle Eric Dampier in the NCAA game against Missippi State. He held his own down there. A great RAM. :!:
