*This is all complete and total rumor*

However, according to the monarch nation message board Gerald Lee tore his elbow ligament. Lee started this rumor via his FB(and we all know how reliable FB is...   ) He is alledgedly out 6 weeks per that posting. I guess we can wait until a much more reliable source like Rich Radford confirms that this is indeed the case, however I just thought you might want to have heard about that.

Even if its true he would be OK well before the start of the season. So other than ODU fans getting an early start on their 2009 excuses its probably not a big deal if its true.

Yeah, but "recovery" is NEVER recovery.

I'm not predicting Lee to suddenly have a bad season. And I am saddened to hear that he hurt himself. But anything that requires 6 weeks of healing is something that could bother you for a long time.

I heard that Gerald Lee has a .4 GPA, and this "elbow thing" is really just an excuse to hide his academic troubles.

This post would be perfect for a GENERAL CAA Thread like I have stated in the suggestion box. Thanks!

Well now ODU has their annual excuse on why they didn't do as well as they thought they would for this year.

I assume he won't be able to do much upper body work in the weight room for the next six weeks. That's probably the biggest impact of the injury.

“From what I understand Gerald was playing very well, outplaying some guys in practice, but when it came to games they were playing some other, more experienced guys a little more,” Taylor said.

Gerald Lee, king of practice! This position was once held by Sam Harris.

Will they still win the CAA Summer Season Title like they do every year?

I am not a doctor but a ligament could be one of those injuries that could nag him all season....oh well...a bum knee and bad elbow...looks like someone is falling apart..... :ugeek: :ugeek: :ugeek:

I know I posted the original thread, but I don't think given what limited information we know, the injury will not be detrimental to his play this year however this quote has to be alarming on some level for ODU fans

“Whether some doctors said, ‘You’ve got a torn ligament’ or he had an MRI I don’t know. We’re going to have to get him back here and get the full story.”

Yikes....

I like the part about Lee playing well in practice, but not getting to play much in games. Blaine sounds like T-Mac.
