Forgive me if there is a thread somewhere about this, but the success (potentially) of our own Larry Sanders in the upcoming NBA draft has me wondering about others around the CAA. Is Gerald Lee drawing ANY interest at all from NBA teams? I know he's not on the draft board, but anyone heard anything about a free agent tryout in the NBA or even a decent gig in Europe?

That sounds about right. I figured he would head overseas right away, but if he does stick around in the states and play in the D-League he could end up getting a shot with an NBA team eventually. As the article mentioned he has the skills and basketball IQ (with the exception of the final min in the CAA semi final) but his athleticism is quite underwhelming when compared to other NBA prospects.

The Knicks have 8 open spots and no first-round draft picks. They are working out everyone.

Michael Anderson got a workout with them as well as David Schneider from William and Mary.

Let's be serious, all of these guys are pretty big longshots to be NBA players. They'll make good money in Europe. I'm rooting for Michael Anderson as a Ram fan to make the summer league team and parlay that into a better Euro gig. I don't think he has a great shot of making the Knicks roster for the season, although they did say they liked him a lot after his workout. Who knows? We'll see how it goes.

David Schneider got a workout from the Knicks? I am not even sure he can play in a mediocre European league. Janning? Sure thing in Europe and maybe an NBA benchwarmer once he gains 25 pounds.

I actually think Lee could be serviceable for an NBA team down the road, but he'll probably have to put up some numbers in Europe first.
