As we embark on another year of unforgettable moments at the Verizon Wireless Arena at the Stuart C. Siegel Center, VCU Athletics wants to check in with their faithful followers and ask... what are your top 10 Siegel Center moments?

The building on the corner of Broad and Harrison has been the Rams' home for exactly 10 seasons and memories were started right out of the gate with an unbelievable comeback against Louisville on opening night. Since then you've had moments like the Bo Jones shot, BA Walker’s heroics, Maynor does his thing, D'Andra Moss nailing a buzzer beater against Delaware and Coach Finley leading the Rams to their first-ever regular season title and hosting the CAA Volleyball Tournament this past year.

Three different sports have called the Siegel Center home and we'd like to know which moments you love to relive every time you walk through the Siegel Center doors. Fill out the form and we'll announce the top 10 moments voted on by you, the beloved Rams followers, later this month.

My number one was our first game against Gardner Webb I guess the second season. That was when before the game the stupid band director did a back flip off of the podium and it didnt turn out so well for him. He basically scalped himself, got rushed to the hospital, and needless to say missed the game. 16 stitches and 62 staples later with a drain tube on his scalp the rumor is he told his doctors to hurry up so that he could make it back to the game because he didnt want to miss the first game of the season. Once hearing that the doctors left and didnt come back until after the game was over to release him. The story gets better as I recall the urban legend.

When the game was over all the members in the band came to the hospital to visit. His girlfriend and his father were in the ER room with him. He was very nervous because there was 2 young ladies he had been seeing in the band. He had been seeing them at the same time without their knowledge and certainly without the knowledge of his girlfriend. In a panic he sent his father out to tell everyone that he was ok and to go home. When his father came back and reported that everyone agreed to leave he was in relief. When he was finally released the rumor has it that the scene was him his father and his girlfriend walking out side by side. When they reached the waiting room there was no one around EXCEPT the 2 girls who apparently now knew about one another! I can imagine that would be the last image you would want with a splitting headache and a head split wide open. The rest of the story is still foggy as the legend goes in many different directions after that. None of which I know to be true or fantasy.

That is one of my most fond memories at the SC! Plus many many more. It seemed like EVERY Jeff Capel game came down to a last minute shot. Wow what an exciting 10 years!

I still can't believe that in an act of revenge, ALL THREE girls ended up hooking up with the band directors father...at the same time. Happy father's day, dad!

;)

Indeed that was the year his father REALLY began respecting him more.

I remember one. It was our first loss there and I will never forget it. Luckily for me, I didnt witness many more.

I submitted my top 10, one of which was Jeff Capel getting T'd up against Drerxel in 2004 after pulling off his necktie and throwing it into the 3rd row of Section 7 behind the VCU bench. Pretty sure it was after one of the refs called Domonic Jones for palming the ball! His sport coat had been thrown earlier on another call that didn't go the Rams way.

It was the night against UNCW when Jeff Capel decided to drive around Richmond and pick up some players off the street instead of letting our real Rams play the game that night. ;)

Pav, How could it have been NC A&T? Didn't we beat them by 40?!

It wasn't, I was just reliving another favorite Capel-ism
