Everyone says we are going to beat them when they come to the stu. We can't overlook these guys..I think this is there best team since '06. Hancock can stretch the defense, Morrison is a decent post player now and Cam Long can break opponents as well anyone in the CAA or take them from downtown.

how do we defend Hancock and long? any ideas?

Towson first.

Then Hofstra.

Still have some time before GMU, but I agree that it isn't a forgone conclusion that we will win just because it is at home. Certainly helps though.

both this season and over the years, we have proven that we can beat almost anyone, and that we can get beaten by almost anyone

any as-yet unplayed foe is a potentially dangerous opponent

but of course since we posting here on the Internet are almost entirely passive observers rather than participants, whether or not we overlook/look ahead/take for granted, doesn't really amount to anything (other than perhaps setting one's self up for a potential rude shock)

I was talking to someone at the ODU game about just how dangerous EVERY game in this league is - you better be ready to play every night or you will get beat ............

Every team has enough talent to beat you if you don't show up ready to play. Look at the Northeastern game at home - could have gone their way with a few different bounces.

Let's get our 4th road win in conference tonight!!!

ok yes GMU is not easy but neither is our schedule before we play them lol, we got...
- Hofstra at Home
- AT JMU
- AT Delaware
- ODU again (and they won't be very happy)
- then GMU

We have way too many big games before GMU. They're all big games because the only path to the Dance is through Monday night at the Coliseum. Consider the following:

Towson. We should win this handily.
Hofstra is in a first place tie with us, and they're bringing Charles Jenkins CAA POY candidate with them.
UNCW has improved over last year. Even if it's at home, we can't take that game for granted, I see it wasn't listed.
Northeastern. We never play well in Boston.
JMU is much improved from last year, and we lost there last year.
ODU lost at Delaware. Yet another example of how vulnerable any team is on the road in this league.
ODU will indeed be very unhappy coming to Richmond and will be looking for revenge.

So far, with the exception of GSU in Atlanta, we've won every game we should have in conference and we boosted a game in Norfolk that, at the end, was ours to lose despite how well we played (ala UAB). That's how close it was.

We now have the target on our chests. We are no longer flying under the radar now that we're #1 and we've knocked off the top dog (or kitty) at their house.

I just listed the big games...
Towson is 0-8, we got that one..
uncw at home, shouldn't be a big deal
at Northeastern, they haven't won a caa game yet.
In my opinion these are the only "easy wins." We can and should win most of the games left on our schedule but it will be a tough road ahead.

I get that Northeastern is winless, but winning in Boston is never easy.

In fact that game scares the **** outta me.

last year yes, the year before yup, but I just don't see it this year. They are bad, really bad. They have won 4 games all year and 2 of the 4 games have been by 2 points or less.

Still don't like it. They've had a brutal first-half schedule and they are very young. They are only getting better. It's the very reason that you are chalking it up as a W weeks in advance that has me worrying so much.

They are getting better and so are we. As long as its not a noon tip I think we win that one.
